It's been a while
Wow, it's been a while since I posted in here. can't believe where the time goes. It's been a funny year, with illness in the family and trying to carry on with the card making. If only life were simple, which of course it is not. I am struggling to make the cards I need for the day to day birthdays and anniversaries, and as for Christmas, well it just doesn't happen. I used to pride myself on making all my cards but last year I actually bought Christmas cards and sent them out, I am so ashamed. I really must do better this year. Well hopefully it won't be so long next time I post. Take care all.

Oh my.........
......where has the time gone? I can't believe I haven't posted for a whole year. I'd like to say so much has happened, but that wouldn't be the truth. LOL
Well, my daughter turned 18 this year, and now thinks she is grown up. Boy has she got a lot to learn! Elliot turned 16 and is having driving lessons, obviously not on the roads yet, it's on a private industrial estate, a organisation linked with the police and driving instructors. The kids and I went to Santorini, Greece in the summer for a week, we had a lovely time but Naomi bought home some kind of bug from Spain and we ended up going out there a little less than perfect! That didn't stop us having a great time though. We climbed a little mountain, cruised to a volcano and jumped off the big boat to go swimming in the hot springs, WOW it was just great, and NO mosquitos, that was a bonus. The appartment wasn't mush to write home about but it was clean and the lady that owned the complex was lovely.
Brian (hubby) he has written a book, a farmers/workshop manual. It has taken him over two years to write it and get it published, but it is now finished and going out on gerneral sale this month.
Well Christmas is apon us once more, I still have lots of cards to make or nobody will be getting one. Hmmm, they might not get one anyway if the postmen keep striking!
Well, I hope to be back a little sooner next time.

It's nearly here?
Yes it is that time of the year again, how fast it comes around! I have a few cards made, but not nearly enough, so need to get very busy over the next couple of weeks, Decorations are to come out of the loft, the outside has to be decorated first with all the lights, then I can start on the inside, removing all traces of normal ornaments and pictures in the lounge and put out all the Christmas bits, then it will feel like Christams.
Just to get you all into the spirit of things here is how the house will look from the outside, enjoy.

Busy, busy busy!
I don't know, where is this year going?
We have been very busy with the allotment, it's lovely to have all this nice sunny weather but then that means lots of lugging water in cans to water the veggies! LOL. It is all coming aloon really well, this photo was take a couple of months ago, so it all looks great now. We are getting beans, potatoes, cabbages, carrots and broccoli, and more! It all tastes so much nicer than what you get from the shops.
I have made my first cake in about two years! This is for my Niece who turned 18 a couple of weeks ago. Now that makes me feel old! LOL. My own daughter is going to be 17 in September and on the road driving! Aaaaahh! Oh well, I guess it has to happen sometime.
Thats it from me for a little while, I'll try not to leave it as long next time to post!

It's been a while!!
Well I have to say I am not too good at this! I haven't posted in nearly a year! I have so much I could post but never seem to fing the time, so I promise to make more of an effort! Honest!! LOL
I have taken up Kayaking in the last twelve months, which is great fun. It is my daughters fault as she took it up and then we thought it would be a great idea to join in the fun to support her. How naive werew we to think it was going to be easy! the kayaking is ok, it is the moving around the kayaks that is hard! they are heavy! lol.

Turkey........
Well, we have been away in Turkey for a week and had a fantastic time! We went with my friend and her daughter. The weather was perfect, and the food was just fantastic! While we were out there it was my 40th birthday and the restaurant laid out a beautiful table covered in rose and flower petals! And then they did the same for my friends daughter two days later, for her 16th.
We had one disaster while there, my daughter hit her head coming down the slide!!!!!! YES, we had to take her to the hospital!!! they were fantastic there, she is ok now, but it was all a little scarey!!
